MADE FOR THE WAY YOUR DAY ACTUALLY GOES

With a customer. On the move.
Ready for the next call.

A business phone should help you handle the work coming in, even while you’re doing the work in front of you.

01 / FIRST IMPRESSIONS

Sound like your business
from the first hello.

Customers hear your greeting and choose what they need. You set the tone before anyone on your team picks up.

02 / THE RIGHT CONVERSATION

Start with context.
Get to the useful part.

Route inquiries to the people who handle them, with the category shared through a private whisper or a saved caller-ID contact.

03 / THE NEXT STEP

Come back to a message
you can act on.

When your team can’t answer, business voicemail captures the message. Audio, a transcript, and callback details help you follow up.

HOW OVERTIME PHONE WORKS

One familiar number.
A more thoughtful call.

Customers get a clear welcome. Your team answers on the phones they already carry.

  1. 01

    A customer calls

Put your business number on your website, ads, and business listings.

  2. 02

    Your greeting guides them

“For Sales, press 1. For Support, press 2.” Choose labels that fit your work.

  3. 03

    The right people ring

Send each choice to one person or a group. When a group rings, the first answer connects.

  4. 04

    Talk—or capture a message

Connect with context. If no one answers, your business voicemail gives callers a next step.

Prefer a simpler call flow? Direct forwarding is available too.

TWO WAYS TO KNOW WHY THEY’RE CALLING

Hear it when you answer.
Or see it before you do.

Both options send the caller to the people you choose. The difference is how the category reaches your team.

HEAR THE CATEGORY AFTER PICKUP

Whisper Routing

A quiet heads-up before the conversation starts.

Call back
Use the customer’s number in Overtime or an enabled text alert. Recent calls shows the category number.
Setup
One public number, plus one extra number per category. Save the contacts; extra recurring charges apply.

A good fit if: seeing the category before answering is important to your team.

Both work with your team’s normal phones. Optional text alerts depend on messaging setup and may arrive after the phone rings.

THE CALL IS ONLY PART OF THE CONVERSATION

Busy right now
doesn’t have to mean
starting from scratch.

When a caller leaves a message, get the details in an email your team can use. Read the transcript, listen to the audio, and call back when you’re ready.

  • Your own business voicemail greeting
  • Audio and transcript in your notification
  • Caller number when available

A FEW THINGS YOU MAY BE WONDERING

Simple answers.
Before you get started.

Do we need new phones or a new calling app?

No new handsets are needed to receive forwarded calls. Your business number rings the existing phones you choose, and your team answers through their usual phone app.

Does Overtime answer calls for us?

Overtime Phone welcomes callers with your greeting, routes them to your team, and takes voicemail when no one answers. Your people handle the live conversation. This service does not replace your team with a live answering agent.

Which routing option should I choose?

Choose Whisper Routing if you want to keep the customer’s original caller ID and hear the category privately after pickup. Choose Category Routing if seeing the category before answering matters more. Category Routing needs extra numbers and contacts saved on employee phones. Choose the option that fits your team during setup.

Can one category ring more than one person?

Yes. A category can ring one person or a group at the same time. The first answer connects to the caller. Unanswered calls follow your configured voicemail settings.

What number appears when I call someone back?

A callback from your normal phone dialer generally shows that phone’s number. With Whisper Routing, you can use recent calls to return the call when the original number is available. With Category Routing, use the customer’s number in Overtime or an enabled text alert; the number in recent calls belongs to the category.

Can I keep my current business number?

Tell us which number you use today. We’ll review the available options before making any changes. Keeping or transferring an existing number depends on eligibility and setup; a new business number can also be requested.

How much does it cost?

We confirm the setup and recurring price for your configuration before activation. Category Routing adds a number for each category, with extra recurring charges. Optional text notifications can also add messaging charges.

What about texts, recordings, and transcripts?

Incoming text notifications let you see messages sent to your number. Text replies from the business number are not available yet. Replying to a notification email does not send an SMS. Optional employee text alerts require messaging setup and delivery timing can vary. Call recording includes a caller notice when enabled. Voicemail audio remains available if transcription fails.

What happens after I click Get started?

A short form asks for your email, phone number, and preferred area code. Our team will get back to you as soon as possible to discuss available numbers and help with setup. Submitting the form does not create an account, reserve a number, or activate service.
